Hey all, I'm moivng to Sydney for work and am after opinions on the best place to set up shop. 90% of the time I'll be working in Ingleburn but occasionally I'll be at Homebush. I was thinking the Oatley area. Thoughts?
Also what is the etiquette regarding splitting in peak hour or any time for that matter?

Oatley is a great spot. The commute to out west is a real bitch from there. Main question is are you renting or buying?
will you commute on the bike or cage?
Rent will cost a fortune in the shire out west not so much.
These would be the factors i'd consider.

Good houses in Ingleburn and you'll save heaps on the commute

In answer to the questions, I'll be renting, I found out after I posted that I'll be four days in Ingelburn and one in Homebush every week, I don't even own a cage and I'm happy to pay up to $450 a week in rent.

Glenmore park?
Motard heaven...
if you dont mind tolls, Ingleburn in only 25 mins from Penrith. and the traffic chaos on M$ begins after the M7 exit generally. so inlgeburn will be ok.
But the 1 day at homebush would be crap.
Splitting is usual story. Illegal. but if you zip a few cars at each set of lights its not so bad.

not sure I'd be picking Oatley. Nice place but commuting through Beverly Hills to the M5 in peak hour just to head out to Ingelburn or Hombush would drive me nuts.
If your doing public transport then pick main train station like Stratfield but otherwise if your biking it stick near Ingelburn and just shoot up the M7 then the M4 once a week to Homebush. Being a alittle further out west you wont have a commute 4 days of the week and it is also cheaper if the rental department.

Oatley

Watch out for ZXRobyn she is around there and will lead you astray
Too many variables for us to offer an opinion, I mean comming from the ACT, don't you all just sit around in the freezing cold watching replays of Parliment Question time
It all depends on what your into other than work, ie weekends, night life, Schools for kids, shopping centres and any other interests etc etc.... Post up other interests and we can give a more informed opinion....
However, If your working long hours, I would give the commuting a big miss in Sydney and get somewhere close to Ingleburn, but if you don't mind up to an hour in the traffic each way then you can go just about anywhere...
