hey, my name is Tom and new to the whole bike scene.
im an 18 year old south australian looking to get involved. i dont have a lot (lets not pretend, i have nothing) to contribute, but lots to learn so ill be doing a lot of reading... and probably asking a lot of those really annoying rookie questions.
due to currently being between jobs good old bankSA doesn't want to lend me any money.. funny that.
hopefully ill be hearing from/starting my plumbing apprenticeship within the month, and borrow the gap 3 months later.
when those 3 very long months are over ill be looking at buying a 250 ninja from the dealer.
until then ill be riding my mates 250 when he'll let me, and looking at lots of pictures.

If money's tight and you're only just starting an apprentiship I wouldn't be spending your money on a newie. When you're getting into riding the bike is only a part of what it's gonna cost you. You'll have to spend money on gear (helmet, jacket and
good gloves are an absolute minimum!) and if you do get a loan for a bike you're going to have a large insurance premium to pay along with loan repayments!
Plus, if no one has told you yet, you're probably going to crash your first bike

so have a look at what your excess going to be to repair those pretty plastic bits.
But, if you want a new bike go for it - just 'cause I'm cheap doesn't mean you have to be
