I'm looking for a rear tie down that has a wratchet and actually cover the tyre itself. I've seen these a few times, but not too sure where I can get one.

I'm using a Kaneg trailermate for the front and want something strong and sturdy for the back end, without attaching anything to the frame or rear footpegs on the bike.

What is available and where can I get one?

I have the strap version and love it ....I bought mine of Triway of here but last I heard they are no longer available because of patent issue's .....

You can actually achieve the same result using two tiedowns but a bit more fiddly.

I have a few of the steel straps from http://www.kyaracing.com.au/ for roadbike and the chooky versions, no need to strap the forks down any more as long as you have good front wheel chock (trailermate), I do still strap the dirtbikes forks when on the Yoot.

To give you an idea, I had 2 roadbikes in my trailer and the chooky on the yoot from Adelaide to Gingers Creek NSW then to EC and back to Adelaide and for most of it I only used the Tyredowns and no fork straps, on the way from Adelaide I only lightly strapped both bikes forks but didnt bother on the way back.

Makes it so quick to get bikes loaded and unloaded.

Yep I have the tyre down for my trackbike.
Really good would highly recommend the bike doesn't move at all and you don't have the problem of compressing your front forks for long periods of time.
You can pick them up from most bike shops you should be able to get them cheaper than that eBay price, mine was a lot cheaper mind you it was probably 5 years ago that I bought it!

Cant remember Stu, around the $200 mark for the roadbike jobs I think. Give them a call.

I bought one last november and it was $150.00
