Re: Whats this?
I am no expert at this stuff but I reckon SURELY a zx14 has enough horsepower you would want at the back wheel going through a corner. I mean what is the maximum speed you could go anyway?Nelso wrote:You can never have enough power.vivek67 wrote:mate, 150+ horsepower and you still feel the need for a power commander?
Just looked up tech specs for seiko's bike!
154 newton metres of torque, 190 HP.

A decently programmed Map should smooth power in the whole range, not just increase peak power. Realistically, you only need as much power as your rear tyre can handle

Whats this?
The old man has one of these on his 08 model no problem with doing the tune at all. Gave it alot more up top but it was down low where it really smoothed everything out. He only has a slip on and this done

Re: Whats this?
For now a 600 feels like a weapon to you because you are just experiencing the power for the first time but those that ride bigger bikes jump on them and think they are underpowered and rev the guts out of them to get them to go (just wait until Marty thrashes, I mean rides yours for the first time and see how easy he is on the throttlevivek67 wrote:I am no expert at this stuff but I reckon SURELY a zx14 has enough horsepower you would want at the back wheel going through a corner. Also, stupid amounts of power make it really easy to do whoolies!

........ and a 14 needs that amount of power because it weighs as much as a bus.

Some good points. I see some merit in what you're saying.Nelso wrote:

After a while you will get used to the power and will start to wind that throttle on faster and earlier but even a small bike can spin the rear up at full lean so it's about using the all of the available power as you stand the bike up when powering out of the corner.

But can I just say, the 14 will never look as sexy as my 636
