The go kart track and the pub (if its re-opned yet).
I've heard about a penquin plague or something down there, but never seen any...

penguin parade in the evening, with busloads of tourists.
nice drive/ride along the coast to cape patterson and inverloch.
winter surfing can be very good down there.
good riding in the hills.
Dalyston pub is listed as a sponsor but I've never asked for discount there so I don't know if they still are.
Foods been good when I've eaten there.

Not exactly on the Island, but she can go

I am glad to say that the little fuckers must be breeding like rabbits at the moment. Tatyana took her family down there in January and the little buggers are back in force!! Loads of them she said.

Its seasonal. Lots about in summer as its breeding season. In winter when they don't have to come back to feed the chicks there are fewer ashore.

I occasionally work with the biologists down there and take visitors to the parade from time to time so I've been a bit too often and I think you're right. Unless you've got kids or visitors from OS to entertain its a waste.
