As the 2011 WSBK season has started and if I'm correct Chris is on his last year of his two year contact with Kawasaki and once again he has pulled out of a race due to injury. :(
I understand the sometimes riders fall off and get injured, but if you where the owner of a race team would you continue with Chris or look into giving someone like Broc a go with the big boys.

Sad to hear that, prob my favorite Aussie rider in activity. I honestly hope this is the last race he misses due to injuries. He's had more than his and someone else's share of injuries and crashes lately.

Only a handful riders in world are good enough to ride a GP bike and CV was one of them , i think he has a lot to offer kawasaki in superbikes but injuries are obviously not helping atm. Give him a clean bill of health and then the CV show will start. I reakon if his got the right machine under him and in good health he is chance at winning wsb , i say keep him.

As much as it kills me to say, I think Chris's day is done. He needs to come home, & get better, do some local races & then go OS & see what happens.

Vermeulan isn't a backmarker who is injured, he is an ex world champion who rode MotoGP. He just needs to be fit and on a decent bike to be back with a chance of winning again. 8) The bloke can ride a muddboik! ;)

He can only ride it well if he turns up to the race weekend.

Yep fully agree, but he has to be fit, & he will never get fit by fucking around OS, He needs to come home, & get fit & get his head in the right place before he goes back. Than he can hit it hard & show what he is really made of. Rather then these half arsed comebacks that dont work. IMO

CV is one of the most naturally talented riders this country has ever produced, yes, ever. He made a fatal blunder signing for Crapuki instead of staying with Honda for one more year and then picking up a GUARANTEED MotoGp ride with Honda in the following year. He's paid for that ever since, but still has one of the best work ethics in the paddock and would, if fit, still give most of the youngsters a run for their money.

CV seems to be, from what I see on tv anyway, one of the nicest blokes in world championship racing, he never puts down his competitors, a true sportsman like bayliss. And I so want him to do well, especially on the kwaka. But this last injury is such a big blow just as he was getting on top of the knee. I really hope I am wrong but I would not be surprised if he was pushed out of the team and world competion much like McCoy was. And he did spend a lot of time at home doing all he could to get his knee healed, and all this time off the bike must be really getting to him. He deserves to be there.
