I have a good deal with Shannon's if you have a few policies to bargain with, insure my ride is affiliated or owned by them I think.
Depends on rating, post code and what colour your undies are, I dunno but it seems like it.

Best to check a few. As Jonno says it varies a lot so best to find which is the best for you.
I use Allianz...$48 per month for $14k (agreed value including gear) for my 9.

Insurance quality/ value happens when they have to pay.
I was with insure my ride a few years ago (they were cheap I was mainly riding weekends). Had to make a claim and whilst they paid it took 2 - 3 weeks which wasn't an issue for me but could be for others. There were two issues which created the delay, one the value was over $10k which meant it had to be approved through head office and two as it was in the second half of the month they had exceeded the monthly limit on payouts. Now that sounded like BS, but as I was not in a rush and they were paying $500 more than they should have I didn't complain.

Currently I have Third-party Liability at $144 a year, with an excess of $400 from Maxirider ( Swann). I'm going to look for full insurance for next year, from previous threads I understand agreed value and a list of the many mods on the Rex is the way to go.
Eric.

Yup, or cause a pile-up. Third party costs $200 right? It's a no-brainer.

Back when I had my original GPX750 I didn't have insurance but I suppose I only paid a grand for this bike
That like a lot of comments here it's probably a good idea to have at least 3rd party.

Yeah, I gotta admit I wouldn't insure a 1K bike comprehensively!
But I would never ride or drive without third party insurance. Not worth the risk these days.
It''d only take you about half an hour to get quotes from all the major bike insurers. And you can check their policies online, so you know if you're comparing apples to apples.

I have edited the ealier post as the prices i quoted were incorrect and probably did'nt quite get message out it the way it was meant attitute wise . Anyway the title of this thread is about who's got insurance and what's the best one . As i said i choose to self insure based of a whole lot things. I can see the benefits of insurance but i'm happy to ride without it. To OP weigh up the pro's and cons of having comp insurance and if you decide its for you , get it . As some have said small price for peace of mind.
