Motorcyclist riding at almost 200km/h
May 15, 2011 - 9:48AM

A disqualified Melbourne motorcyclist spotted riding at almost 200km/h has been arrested after crashing into a fence in a back street.

A police radar showed the man riding at more than 195km/h on the Northern Highway near Kilmore, north of Melbourne, just after 8.30pm last night.

Police briefly pursued the motorcyclist but he sped away.

The man was later found in a back street, where he had crashed his bike into a fence. (karma? )

The 20-year-old Mill Park man will face a number of charges, including evading police and reckless conduct.

That is a bit of a dickhead thing to do, despite it being out near Kilmore, there's nothing i remember from my school trip out to there aside from there being a lot of not much,

As to what the dickhead did, the thing i am wondering is did they get his plate before he crashed? It's quite likely they did, though there's a part of me that is wondering if he had he managed to 1) not crash and 2) find a hiding spot and stay out of sight for a few hours, could he have gotten a free pass.
