Must be a couple of poms getting married soon. Seems everyone all over the world is in a frenzy about this...

Seems I'm on my own about this being 'nice' but nothing to get excited about.

Oh and there must be a show coming up about that Butt rose bird...she's being brought in to run the telecast FFS.

I can't see what the fuss is about. There's nothing interesting to me about a couple of rich knobs spending more money than any of us will ever see in our lifetime to get married. I would rather they spent the stupidly exorbitant amount of money helping others rather than flaunting how much they have to waste on frivolous pomp and ceremony. Or just give it to me and I'll spend it on something useful like bikes and other toys.

Hate being told that everyone in the world is watching for what she will wear (pair of jeans would do), where they will go, where she will stay the night before etc etc

Good on them. They're the royal family, I reckon that gives them the right to spend whatever they want. I'd rather they do it then fuck wit drug addict celebrities etc.

True true , and the Royal Fam is a major earner for the Poms . So tourist dollar wise , the wedding will be a beaut . Who knows who gets the TV rights $$ .

For the hell of it i read the sub-section of the list that was published, and there were a few interesting stories in there amongst all the dignitaries and so on on the list. Good to see that William is a level headed bloke, and as Glen said, better to see these guys make a bit of a flash occasion that will be memorable than some coked out movie/muso doing something stupid with it.

I'm interested in it, but not obsessing about it like some are.

And as to Ita Buttrose? there was a 2 part series called Paper Giants about her & Kerry Packer starting up Cleo, actually a very good view,(ABC Iview link,Downloadable/website link).

It is historical, it was only today Sue and myself reminissed over the Charles and Diana wedding, Andrew and Fergie's debarkle and the Queens Silver Jubilee and then what we were doing the morning Diana died and then we started discussing when the Queen would abdicate to Willy to let him in.
This is a huge deal in the UK, it is amazing how an event like this can boost the country.
Good on them, I know we will be up celebrating a major World event.
