08 ZX10 Suspension Update...

Hey all,
Some of you might have read about my front end drama's I was having with the 08 ZX10.. That was in a post ages ago and I had been working to try to resolve the problem. After much discussion and track days, I decided to try the cheaper option by firstly replacing the stock progressive springs with a set of Ohlins .95 kilo lighter Linear springs.. Massive change in the front end feel.. After a few sessions, tweaking it here and there and it was feeling better all the time and I was back down to flat 50's again..
Then I got a hold of the Penske rear shock, installed that and again some more tweaking and it was feeling better again.. no more squatting on the exit of corners with the wheel waiving in the air (well it is not too bad at times
) but for fast exits, it does not feel the best... still the lap times drop.. 49's
Last double day at the island it all came together with a couple of beautiful days for track riding, mild and virtually nothing but a breeze... got the bike feeling the best ever pulling out a 47 on the second day.. talk about a big step forward..
So it just goes to show, you can have all the power in the world, but to get the bike handling properly is the main thing, then speed will come...
Macca..
