Try eagle screens, there Aussie and I have used them before, quick to post and easy to deal with, few emails and my order was placed.

As for the filter, I have never owned your bike, but I have used aftermarket and genuine in all my bikes and never had a problem with any.... If I can I use genuine, if I CBF going to the dealer I just get a filter from MCAS I think they use Emgo but also have K&N :)
anyone can go fast in a straight line,,,,

I always went Zero Gravity for my screens.
As Wattie and others said, the filter thing is bogus. Use what fits (and is cheapest).
A couple of times I actually had H0nd4 filters on my 9's

Thanks Guys I doughted the filter but no harm in asking hey ;)
As for the screens yeah looked at the chinese stuff but the bad feed back puts me off , I like the laminar lip so am considering.
I just find that my view of the instruments are slightly restricted with the std screen .

I had an ebay screen on my 9. Hated it.
It made the bike look far too big in the front, fit was OK but not perfect.
The worst part however was that it created a heap of buffeting right at head height, if i ducked a bit it was fine, but thats not practical.

Might be different for a 7, but thats my experience with the ebay screens. Still, for 30 bux delivered it was a chance i was happy to take, can always put the original back on.

Back to the oil filters, I just put a genuine one on my ZX9R. With my Hondas ('87CBR1000 & '92 CBR900), I'd just use Mazda 323/Ford Laser filters. Pretty much identical and the Mazda/Ford ones were much cheaper than Honda. Are Kwaka filters similar/same fitment to any common c@r filters?

Eagle screens based in Perth. ;) (I prefer a mid rise bubble over a dbl myself)

Oil light would come on when a poorly made filter disintegrates and clogs up the oil flow, even good name brands can do this as well as do old filters sitting in service too long.
I use genuine oil filters and change regularly if possible on my bikes and with the mobile plant I service. There are plenty of myths and sales spin about oil/ filtration to pry your hard earned from you.
Oil filters are more important than the oil itself (being of correct spec oil) and in a pinch the filter should always be replaced if you cant get oil IMO.

Interesting read..

Anyway, why risk a aftermarket filter on an expensive bike to save a few dollars?

What are we talking about here, like 10 bucks maybe?
