Looking at a few options from 5th wheelers to caravans to single axle box trailers, the accommodation side of it is attractive as I plan to do a lot of traveling with 2 or 3 bikes i.e. racebike and road and having a garage in the back is a great idea. I also have the Ute to load a chooky on too but not keen on trying to get a few hundred kilo's of sportsbike up on a high tray on the cruiser.
5th wheelers are mightily expensive and big but very comfortable same with buses but limited in many ways, the toy hauler from Jayco base-station model looks the goods and well within budget and very practical with the offroad pack.
Some of you may have similar or know of others that do and know the pitfalls, any advice at this stage would be most welcome

I have ruled it out as ideal as good as it is for some things, it doesn't suit my multipurpose intended use including weeks away at a time.

The correct term is Toy Hauler..
You should have had a look at ours when you came up..
Theres a lot of things to consider with them, and you need to have a good capacity tow vehicle for some of the heavier ones likes the Jaycos..
We spent a lot of time looking and ended up with a US imported Carson Fun Runner..
Has toilet, shower, air con and the rear ramp doubles as an extra room...
We looked at Jayco's, Caria, Northpont, Freedom, Puma and pretty much everything else on the market before we bought ours.
The misses knows all about them..

Now that looks the biz
Yep your right, toy hauler (spelt right with true American terminology there Steve)
Yep again, no sleep makes a un thinking camper at your joint, (oh I did sleep didnt I)
I was waiting for you to pipe up actually, I knew you had one but didn't know what you had.
No worries about tow vehicle
And the 2nd hand Jayco Iam looking at is comprehensive in features, hence I wanted to look at others too.
So where to look at what you have?
Pm sent

I'll second that. In addition he's a top bloke and puts back into racing. He also hold the F2 sidecar lap record at "The Creek"
