Hi

Wonder if someone could assist with some info on Parts for a Ninja 250 (2010) - the Missus just reversed over the bike with the 4x4! :(

RH Group Set (peg and break leaver ok)
LH rear Fairing - cracked
LH handle bar bent
LH Bar end

Trying to determine if I replace myself or go for insurance (not sure that I want the increase in premium next year once the claim is processed)

This is all that I can see needs to be replaced

Cheers

Richard

I assume you'll need the bits once you get out after the prison sentence for murdering the missus

If you want the fairings replaced, may be best to go with insurance when you the see the price of OEMs. Hundreds. Handles bars and pegs arn't usually too bad. Especially if you search ebay well. Go to the american auto part of it as well as the aussie. Would be looking a few hundred plus the fairing if you cant get parts from a wreckers. I did have prices for my 6 not long ago but I cant find them.

What i was quoted for the RH fairing alone was insane... $430 for one side... the rear set i got for $150 genuine and $120 for the whole RH handle bar...

What i would do is call up bike wreckers and see what they got in stock before buying new genuine.... if all else fails buy a .357

American Ebay will be your friend for the bar and peg. The rear fairing can probably be plastic welded and painted for less than the replacement costs. Ask around for a recommended bike repairer/painter and have a chat to them about cash prices.

Thats a bummer Richard....... as stated above wreckers & ebay would be the go, but also have a mechanic check over the frame etc for cracks :?

There is a guy in sydney that does pretty cheap OEM part's for the ninja 250, but most people would rather pay double rather than deal with him   ...
