Try styles on. Different helmets for different heads.

I like shark even though I have an arai ATM. Alot of people love shoei and then there are the agv fans. The fact is they are all good and exceed the aus standards so u really can't go wrong. Check your budget the narrow down your choices then start trying them on.

I had an AGV GP-Pro that was sensational but needed replacing after 5 years. I had a choice between another GP-Pro and another brand and for reasons I still can't explain chose the other brand. It is a decision that I have regretted ever since. My thoughts - if you were happy with the AGV and can replace it with same then do it.

what visor does your current agv take?
Q3? if u have a stack of spare visors stick with the same lid....
I have all 3 AGV Ti-Techs just so all the visors are interchangable

Also just be carefull as i'm not sure of a helmets structural capabilities after 8 years of use...

Just get a Shark RSR2 from STG. $249atm, can't beat that for a top shelf helmet.

;)

I'd also take the opportunity to order small stuff that you usually wouldn't bother with since now that you can combine shipping!

Hemet warehouse is your best bet since you live in sydvegas they are on the hume highway about 3 km heading towards the city after the mechano set of lights.. They have 1000's of helmets try em all on the key to a good helmet is weight and exterior deminsions.. I own a shark after owning an arai the thing sucks!! tooooooo much wind drag. All decent helmets have 3 different size inserts also eg small med large check pads. Find the exact model you want than check out ebay but i doubt any1 can beat there prices.

Who has the biggest range in Melb? I'm starting to shop around now as well. Wouldn't mind spending the day amongst a massive range trying to find something that fits just perfect :kuda: Leaning towards AGV or Arai so if there is someone with a good range of these two brands that would be cool, and if they're a sponser that'll be even better. :kuda:

Most of the newer helmets are slightly different in shape to the older models so you are better off going somewhere with a huge range and trying them all on again to see which brand fits best. My last 3 helmets were the same brand (Shoe) but have been different to each other with the last one being the best fit, but it ended up being a size smaller than the first 2. Both AGV and Arai fitted me much better than past designs as well. Apparently they have all been measuring heads to make the helmet fit as many shaped heads as possible to increase their market share. If you have had your current helmet for a few years, avoid buying a new lid without trying them on first.

Thats because Alot of brands only use 2 outer shell sizes and need the variance in check pad sizes to adjust the fit. Alot of the better brands will actually have 3-4 shell sizes therefore minimizing the need to change cheek pad sizes

When I got my new helmet, I went around to a heap of bike shops and tried on a LOT of helmets. I also asked them for their BEST price, which in most cases was only about $30 off the ticketed price. After I found the one I wanted I bought it from Helmet Warehouse for about $200 cheaper than anywhere else, and that included postage. I ordered online and it was here within a week. The one thing I noticed the most when trying on so many helmets, is your head will fit in one brand better than any other, so make sure you try on as many diferent brands as you can.

Bought a helmet from OS that has all the right OS stickers and is exactly the same helmet as sold here except for the graphics and I can't wear it cause no AUS sticker, buy local, and I can't advise on particular helmets becuase I am an AGV fan, bought my last Rossi replica in the cheaper version of AGV, K3 I think, comes with antifog visor which does work, and I got a tinted visor antifog thrown in for less than cost, but I repeat I am a long term fan of AGV lids, noise comfort and fit for me are all good.
