Isn't it nice when the Aus $ is actually worth a dollar!

I priced repairing the ZRX's Radiator today. It was anywhere between $150 and $200 depending on what it needed and with no gaurantee that they could fix it again....(It has been to them previously when it had a little lay down on Mt Hotham a few years back). So, I started researching radiators all over the place. Ended up finding a newie delivered to the door for $240 Australian. I figured for the additional it was worth it and I save myself either the time taking it down to Dandenong, or a return courier charge. It's a non genuine Delkevic. I will report my findings once it is installed.

The new radiator for the ZRX arrived just before christmas, so today was the first opportunity I have had to fit it. I Pulled it out of the box and inspected it and it all looked like the one it was replacing. No differences that I could discern at all Phil

. I removed the old rad, removed all the mounting hardware and other bits and pieces from it, refitted the bits and pieces to the new radiator, bolted it all back together, refilled it, ran it up to hot several times with no leaks. The ZRX allowed all this to happen in about 3 leisurely hours, while alternating between some house work the bride needed assistance with.
I then cleaned off all the chain gunk off the swingarm with some kero and did the chain and sprockets while there, which lead to doing the wheels, which lead to repainting the radiator stone guard, which lead to doctoring the broken screen to even it up both sides, which lead to washing the bike....phew!
I think I am ready for a ride!

The U.S. dollar is worth nothing because U.S. citizens have no sense.

*This* gave me a chuckle.

I just ordered two sets of tyres, Q2's for the Rex and 016's for Leanne's 10 for under $550 landed.

Should be here in time for the Supers trip.

We get them fitted for $10 a tyre if we take the rims in so for under six hunge compared to a lazy grand buying local it's well worth doing.

I ordered them from
http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/ rather than STG as the shipping was only $85 for the four tyres.
