Rego costs

Gday guys,
Im looking at getting back into dirt riding in the new year and a mate was telling me that the rego/ctp cost for a 250 are going to be similar to a large bike?(450etc)
Can anyone confirm this.
he reckons that a 200(2 stroke) will be heaps cheaper

Yep that's right. My KTM costs the same as my zx10r. $270 rego for 239-750cc

yep the cut of is 225cc or something stupid...
Some of the Chinese bikes are coming out just under the limit, although they may not really be under -(special Aus editions)..

Its farking crazy, I would love to buy a jap 250 but now Its made a more difficult decision, Why does the nsw government do these things. they are so greedy!

i just sold my 99 rmx 250 because of the new green slip prices , i'm looking for a drz400 to replace it as its the same price to rego as a 250cc .

and approx green slip price for a 35 yr old

Move to Qld, my z1000 and Zx6 are both just over 200 a year

Move to melbourne, my z1000 is only 590 a year
