New Boots - Gaerne GRW

I went shopping yesterday for a Birthday present for Chris, and as he's been using my old Sidi B2 boots that he's abused for the last 12 months it was time for some new boots.

I went looking initially for Sidi Vertigo's and found myself in MCAS at Liverpool. Looking around I found the Gaerne GRW's for $359 and I have to say what a sensational boot. The ankle protection seems far superior to the Sidi's. The ankle's in these won't flex from side to side at all. To get the same level of protection fromt the Sidi's you need to get to the Vortices which are $550 plus.

I've been a Sidi fan for years and still am but the GRW's are really impressive for the price......so impressive I bought a pair for myself as well

Time will tell what the quality is like but they look pretty good and I've had a set of gaerne MX boots which are brilliant.
