Motorcycle Wrecker Census

Not so much of a census, but a query as to whether all wreckers are as dodgy as our local one (I think the answer is going to be 'No farking way!!!').

How do you reckon our mob goes at stocktake? Do they do the whole place if it's pissing with rain or 35 degrees?

why not on the roof? On the roof is a good place to store parts!

They're probably Honda parts anyway *shrug* lol

Any Sydney or Vic wreckers look the same?

Those parts are likely to be....ummmmm....a bit "warm", so they are just up there "cooling down".....so to speak ;)

I went to buy a new calliper for the race bike, asked for 99 CBR 600 calliper. He turned up with one off an earlier model, I said it wasn't right and that the 99 model was a 4 pot calliper unlike the twin pot he was holding. His exact words were, "It'll still stop you"!!!!! Gotta love great safety advice.

Nothing but a low-life dealer of stolen motorcycles. I had an XR100 stolen from the backyard - it was easy to identify because it had a PeeWee 50 back wheel fitted, and a 12mm spark plug instead of the OEM 10mm plug.......it was also missing most of the bodywork ( because it had been taken off and was in the shed)...

a few weeks later, the mechanic there rang me to say that the XR had turned up - he was a mate of mine, and I had worded up most places in town (and him, because he was trustworthy) - well the robbing bastards had this bike dissassembled and spread out all over the shop within 5 minutes of it turning up !!! :x :x :x

I had ......*words*......with the owner a day or 2 later.......it was not pretty.

:x
