Spent some time down the garage this morning. To wet to ride, so might as well be prductive somehow.
Since buying my Z in March, the major thing that has bugged me the most, is the dicky looking antennas on the handle bars. I've been looking at bar end mirrors, but theres nothing i like. Have been looking at the hypermotard mirrors, but they cost almost $2k to buy new.
So i started by taking my mirrors off, and found if i stuck them on the bar ends, they didnt look to bad. I wont to keep the same idea that Ducati does with the Hypermotard by making them able to fold in. Have got a few ideas in mind. 1st is to make new bar end weights, which will have a lockable swivel and pivot point. Allow for full adjustment and folding.

I havent modified anything just yet. But where they sit is pretty where i want them. The original mirror position is as pointless as every other mirror ive looked through. ie: NOTHIN' BUT ELBOW

Yeah i know Rob. Thats the important reason for the fold away mirrors. Bloody bars are wide enough as they are!!

Apparently the bar ends from central coast on ebay are pretty good according to pinchy, id try them.

Someone needs to make some rip offs of the hypermotard style mirrors, theyd sell billions.

I have borrowed a spare set of bar ends from Phil and now that they are properly adjusted and I'm used to them i see more than with the standard hi-rise versions... They also look pretty good.

I was looking for a low-line, modern looking set but havent found anything yet so I'm intersted to see what comes through here
