Does Brumby need election money?

I commute every day along the Westernport Hwy and Monash Fwy and in the last 12 months would have seen 2 police cars doing traffic.
This morning there were 4 in the space of about 15 km's all with their radar guns out.
Is this an election thing or what?

they always sit in front of the united or shell near us....they have been there more often in the past few weeks

Did you see the 25 yr veteran cop on a current affair last night?
Accusing the Gobmint of manipulating crash figures to implicate speeding, when in fact speeding
has sweet FA to do with it....(as we all know)

here's the story in question. It is exactly the view i've been taking, speed may be partially related, but it isn't the be-all and end all of the situation. Someone needs to invent a stupidity camera, then the goverment would get more than the revenue they desire.
Notice the RTA dude juggling his words very carefully?
