someone asks something like this gets asked once every few months since the lams scheme came in, it's inquiring minds wondering what's gonna happen if they give in to their big-bike-desires

Everything sounds like it has changed from when I came off on my 7R back on my P's, but back then, only $300 fine and was still covered by CTP

its not so much a drama getting caught. its more a drama if you stack it.
Insurance companies make their money by not paying out. They have a great excuse when they find out you're not supposed to be riding a big banger.

I remember looking this up when I was going to buy a bigger bike. Saw this and decided to wait:
LICENCE - PROVISIONAL
Ride motorcycle of prohibited capacity/power - 1st offence in 5 years $430 7 points
= gang raped by angry men with large genitals.

I agree with lams to a point, new riders & all. But what about the people out there like me that grow up on dirt bikes? I was on the road at 15 in the hills of roleystone WA. the state forrest was my bestfriend. I use to ride to mates joints because no cops out there. Im not trying to be a smart arse, I just think good road sence & experince is what makes a good rider, & with age comes knowing when to ride like a gentlemen & when to fang the guts out of it.
