I think they are pretty heavy, and abit more difficult to get up.. Rob and Dave should be able to answer that one for you though...

First I'd go 1 tooth down on the front and 2/3 up on the back sprocket.

I dropped one tooth on the front and that made it a lot easier to get the front wheel up without the clutch.
Unlike a lot of the bigger bikes you can't just twist the throttle and have the front come up, on the 7 you have to work at it. I found the best way was to ride the bike in 1st up to about 7000 rpm, then back off and as the forks start to spring back up give it a fistfull of gas. It also helps to sit back a little and pull on the bars. It takes some practice but after a few goes it gets easier and then you can change into 2nd when its high enough and ride it out..
Or you can cheat and use the clutch but thats not a good idea...

Ask matty, he had no trouble getting his front of the ground during the ride day.

You beat me to it Mina, was gonna say same thing. Mattyv is our resident expert on mono's. It's rare to see him riding on two wheels. Particularly in heavy traffic. I'm not joking.
He's studying for exams at the moment and is on a self-imposed KSRC ban. Hehehehehehe. We'll see about that!
I know he's looking for any tiny excuse to get back on here, so I'll tell him he's needed then see how long it takes...

Mate, I can get the 6 up without any problems... however, and I could be wrong here, but, I think the 2001 ZX6 (especially mine with it's mods) produces the same/more power than the 7, and I think it's lighter.
However, I use the technique as per here:
http://www.ksrc-au.com/html/how_to_chuck_a_wheelie.html
And the end result as per here:

Inconcistency is generally caused by fear.

i've tried that but all that happens is the front forks fully extend and the wheel probably come 2mm of the ground.
maybe i didn't try too hard. i'll give it another go.

Mina, mate... the most common problem is: not twisting the throttle far/fast enough.
Don't be a wimp. TWIST IT!!!! She'll come up. Get someone to film you doing it, to see how pathetic your current attempts are.
It should pop up from about 50kays. Or, you could try popping the clutch. Just remember, replacement clutches are expensive.
Oh, and be careful!!

Mina,
just make sure you've got your foot over the rear brake pedal in case you're coming up too far.

ty for the hints ppl...
but i can get it off the ground good about every 6th attempt but it seems like i have to try really hard...
what i do is get to about 5k rpm and then goose it let off quick then i bury the throttle. maybe im just not doing it right every time and just gettin lucky when it does come up i dunno.. plus i just put in a pipe and k&n..
i think i need to jet it cause its loaggin a little at low rpm which hinders the wheelie ability. ne hinks welcome ty

Its all about the gearing, mine wouldn't come up consistantly until I change the front sprocket. Things like the pipe gave it mor hp and the jet kit and straight thru air ducts helped as they gave it much better throttle response.

I tried a few more time earlier to day and i think it got up about 20cm and then i dropped it very hard. Lucky i didnt fuck up the fork seals.
