I am mainly trying to figure out what would be a good replacement for the Zed..... I should have the front end all changed over by the end of the weekend, which is all well and good.
The thing is I'm getting the itch for a change, once the Zeds finished I'm gonna need a new project.

I have noticed a few half decent ZX10's going lately at the right price. As I'm going to be 40 in January I have seriously been considering a 10. Getting the insurance down to reasonable levels and all that.
Not a normal 10 though, the natural upgrade from a Zed 1000 would be a ZX1000AAARRRRR!!

Forget the puffy fairing shit, throw all them away. Don't worry about just doing the úbermotard stuff, just sort it into a nice streetfighter, make up some trick panels here and there and maybe a triple style headlight, seat cover on the back-like the Zed. I'm sure it could work really well. I've seen a fair few around on the net.

I reckon for the 10K mark I could have myself a fully sorted ZX1000AAARRRRR, cheaper than a new Zed, a lot cheaper than a Ducati Streetfighter and it will do 'more'' than the Zed

The motor looks quite stiking all blacked out like that, exactly what I'm thinking with maybe a different front cowl.
Then a nice black M4 can leaving the arse end all nice and tidy

I think the Ti one looks too much like a Zed - might as well put a fully sorted 10 motor and shocks on the Zed.

I like the rainey, but it looks like they have simply removed the side fairings and left too harsh a line. I'm a big fan of going whole heartedly into the motor - tasteful coloured bolt kit, braided oil lines etc. A few extra ponies wouldn't go a miss either. A true fighter is far more than just looks.

Try as much as you like, but you will never make either of them as good as a Rex. Why don;t you just go buy one of them and be done with it!
