To see if we have a typical cross section of the Aus public, I'm putting up a poll to see how ppl here will vote.
This is not for discussion as we don't want any political arguements.
Interesting to see how close we are to the outcome..

Hey you should have chucked an "Unsure" in there too!
none of the bastards really deserve a vote, it's a matter of filtering out all the BS to find the best of a bad lot

Is there a birthday party, I would vote for them cause everyone has a birthday

And Paul, I think you're spot on, it's not a matter pf voting for the best person, rather the least worse

I number under the line, not the party nominee above the line, so all my preferences go where I want them to.
And because I like colouring in boxes

I was told today by someone who works in the polling centres that dodgy votes, like when you so stuff you for instance, get counted towards the government of the day (which I think she means encumbent rather than eventual winner). Any one wanna correct that?

somehow this doesn't surprise me
if you want to cast a donkey vote and annoy the crap out of them, number all the boxes under the line but make 2 x 87 or whatever the last number is, makes them count and distribute all the preferences and at the last it's no good

So far, it's probably preferences which will get one or the other of the major two across the line! It's almost even labour liberal!

Hung parliament maybe?? (For those who don't know, a hung parliament is where the two new ministers of parliament are Madkaw and me!)
