Hey everyone. Wanted to give you bit of an update on Josh Waters. Truthfully, I was really worried about him when I went to the hospital on Friday as he still couldn't keep himself awake. He did finally wake up on Sunday and got out of the hospital on Sunday afternoon, our time. Went over to see him that night and he was still moving slow. He started making improvements everyday with memory and such. Had lunch with him on Tuesday and he was much better. Was tested yesterday and it appears he's been given the go ahead to race at Laguna Seca. He seems to improve every day. Will be seeing the doc again tomorrow. All the Yosh guys here have been very supportive. By the way, he only got 20 laps in before the crash but he as doing great lap times on a track he had never seen.

Josh is just gutted not to be able to race this weekend at Laguna. He's done everything he can but his concussion is very serious and will take longer to recover. He looks great and feels great. His brain just won't let him continue this weekend.
I told him that the KSRC sent wishes for a good recovery. He really seemed to appreciate that.
Jamie had expressed his concern and is glad he's made the right choice not to try to race in his condition. Jamie added that the speedway challenge is still on in January and he's not allowed to use this injury as an excuse

Thanks for the update Steph, please pass on my best wishes to Josh, at least he will get to see the GP @ Laguna, but I'm sure thats little compensation.
On a brighter note, just heard from Geoff in Suzuka, Brodie's team won the 4hr race today by 15 seconds. Brodie qualified on pole by more than half a second as well. Wayno's team qualified 6th. Excellent result.

Phil, that is great news, isn't it. Josh will be proud of him. Julie Waters did email me about Brodie but I hadn't heard about Maxwell.

He's on the Honda Dream RT Sakurai Team with Chojun Kameya. Aparently he is only .8 or so off Kameya's best
