Another Team Crashed '10 victim

Unfortunately this morning wasn't a good one. I was going around a roundabout I have gone through on a daily basis for the last 3 years, when everything went pear shaped. I had slowed down for a car to go through, and was turning right as usual. Instead of being in second as I normally am though, I had changed down to first. As I was exiting the roundabout, I hit a trail of water that some truck or something had left and the rear wheel spun up. It then gripped, threw me to the right and highsided me up the road. The whole right side of the bike is totaled as is my helmet (I was using the top of it to slow me down as I was flying through the air :( ).

Apart from a sore hip and wrist, and a banged up shoulder though, I walked away from it unscathed. If I hadn't have been wearing full leather I doubt I would be able to say that. Even though my slide up the road wasn't very long, the way I landed would have been enough to remove quite a bit of skin. If I ever had any doubts about not going ANYWHERE without wearing my full protective gear, I certainly don't anymore.

I now have to wait and see if the bike's a write off  My poor bike!

Well, it looks kinda promising. The nice gentleman at Pro Kwaka thinks she can be fixed, but hopefully I'll know for sure tomorrow. I was hoping that would be the case, I really dont like the colour schemes of the new ones :)

No mate, not diesel, although there could have been some in there somewhere. Its a shit of a corner and its not the first time I've had a bit of a slip on it. It gets a bit slick in the rain.
