Front forks ZRX and Allen keys in toolkit.

Just had a look in bottom of ZRX forkleg lower- got a replacement one which I haven't fitted yet. I can't see how the adjuster in the bottom affects anything. It doesn't seem to connect to anything and is in a recess of it's own. Does it somehow connect to the bottom of the cartridge? How does this little sucker work, if it does? I know late 90s GSXRs did nothing when you turned adjusters on the forks. Are ZRXs the same?
I needed to tighten the footpeg bracket on the RHS yesterday while out on a ride and was shocked to find two allen keys in the factory kit, neither of which fitted. A mate's XJR1300 kit didn't either- no allen keys on them! :? After going over the whole bike I added the correct tools today from my old ZZR1200 kit. Might be worth a check if you own a ZRX. Maybe they just forgot to add them to my kit?

I picked up a fitting from MCA that can be used on 18, 19, 22 & 24 hex sockets (Allen Keys) $20 bucks and seems to work OK.

A very good idea to check your tool kit when you buy a new or used bike, duh. You can't carry everything but the basics can save you from being stuck somewhere because of a shifter or some other esential part coming loose. A fifth of Jim Beam is good as well in case you get stuck and are going to die in the outback because you forgot to bring proper tools. Drink the fifth and lay naked in the sun, death will come quickly.
