Looking at getting a box trailer and a trailer mate to transport bike. Before i go throwing more money in to the pit please feel free to give any input.

I was thinking a 7x4 box trailer as i think a 6x4 would be too small. Trying to keep costs down as much as possible.

Cheers :D

this won't help keep the costs down but I'll throw these into the mix as I'm thinking about them (as they look like I could load and unload by myself) and I'd be interested in what people think

motolug looks like a tidy unit and its great that it can be disassembled...No price on that one though. Emailed em, hopefully its not 1100 bucks like the first one...

with a trailer mate you can load and unload a box trailer by yourself easy.

FWIW go a 7x5 so you can get 2 bikes in. Wont be much extra but well worth it.

I'd go a 7 x 5, it just gives you a bit more space if you need to get two on. Our new jobby is brilliant and the trailer mates make it easy as. Cost us $900 plus the trailer mates

I ended up getting a 7 x 5 box trailer so I could fit two road bikes in, and use it for general trailer duties as well...... I find it pretty easy to load two bikes in there by myself..... once you get the system sorted ;)

Thats what i'll probably get. You(or they) can weld a box on the front A-frame part of the unit, its got jerry can holders and is way cheaper than a 7x5 box with bike stands. Got tie downs all over it.

Looks like the goods to me
