how often do i service my bike??

HI
i just got my Ls and i have just purchased a 09 ninja..very happy!!
but i was just wonder do i have to service the bike every 5000km like a car and when is it time for a major??
my bike currently has around 9000km

Next one is at 12K mate. Every 6000km and if your ultra keen change the oil in between

and btw all this info is in the bike's owners manual

Follow the book if you got one. If not then get one but it'll say services every 6000kl but do an oil l change in between

Best check if the 6K service was completed. Did you get the service booklet with the bike?

yeh i have the book..the last service he had was at 8000km..
the book showed he done it at 1000km then 8000km..
do i have to always go to a kawasaki dealer ?? or is there a good mechanic place you's recommend?? im located in the shire
