Got it on thursday, after much tinkering and cursing I got it to splutter a little bit on friday, saturday I took the carbies off and took them apart and cleaned em out, end of saturday I got it to run for short periods before it spluttered into silence again... Sunday it decided to run enuf to blow out the oil, old fuel and whatever goo that was in the cylinders out ( mmm smoke!!) now today its humming along nicely and I took it out for a spin

w00t!! All I had to do to it apart from the carbies was butcher the side stand switch, replace a blinker globe and now everything works! not bad for 500 bucks
Next step before I rego it is tyres.. apparently zzr takes 100/17 front and 140/17 rear? anyone with a particular favorite?

nah I haven't yet Tim... definately gonna make the effort to head down to bikebiz and have a squiz
yeh I shall have a piccy or 2 tomorrow.. have been somewhat busy getting it to run, now I can do the nicer stuff like pics
I actually bought it a month ago, was sitting @ a friends place till it could get dropped off here ( it was a few suburbs away) originally it was a plan B w/ the RTA GPZ thing but now I wanna use it as a weekend fun bike

ideally I would tow it down the fwy behind the gpz then go for a lap on the old road

Cool, be a wise investment. There's always the ebay bargains to get you into something sooner rather than later until you find your perfect jacket.
