Why is the Market so shit for my Bike, I'm Just really pissed off how no one wants my bike, its in great condition, i take care of it and according to some members its not even worth 5000$ now. I bought it for 6800$. New rear Tires, rebuilt carbie, fitted proper jet size, no flooding, no leaks, always use the good stuff for it. Those of you who i have the pleasure of riding with you can tell i ride it nice and smoothly definitely don't trash the shit out of it. I see CBR250RRs go for 6000$, my bike is in way better condition than most of those CBRs, who the hell wants a HONDA??? WHY??? what am i doing wrong selling guys? is it the price? what would be a fair price and why?
Cheers
Kev

it sucks kev thought it woulda been sold by now

its a nice bike only seen it once. theres a lot more option now as to what is available in the learner market then years gone past. I cant believe some shops are asking 7500 for 89/90/91 cbr250rr it makes no sense

have you checked insurance for your next bike i'm getting rammed for prices

Tis not the time of year to be selling. Its about to get cold and all your prospective buyers know it.
Put it out there, dont take a crazy price. On the up side, you still have a bike to ride even though you really want the upgrade!

The fact we are approaching winter definitely cools off buyers.
Have you only had it on the market recently so you could enjoy it over summer?
I would take a ZX2R over a CBR250RR but I am biased and the CBR's are tough, revvy little numbers with a good reputation.
By the way, do you really expect us to believe you don't flog it?
I mean, it's a bike that loves revs and we all know how we ride.
Unless you are really desperate, I would not lower your price but you may have to wait for some time.
Good luck mate.

Whats the going price for the current Ninja 250....about 7k?? I rekon that wouldnt help, is yours what they refer to as a grey import? LAMS probably effects some of the prices of 2nd hand 250's as well. Mate patience is a virtue when your trying to sell stuff.
have you got it on bike sales?

i bought mine for $5k about six months ago and it looks identicle to yours! just need the right buyer, someone who knows a good bike when they see it! I think our biggest problem is how cheap the new ninja250 is, even though we know its slow and not as good looking as th zxr250

tell me about it....the NINJA250s are flooding the market like no tomorrow, every second bike is a ninja250. Damn economics! the supply curve has shifted to the far right increasing the quantity and reducing the price

Yeah it's unfortunate Kevin. The only thing I can suggest from experience is that it's not going to increase in value so you should probably put it on bike sales etc and drop the price $500 per week until you start getting interest, then you'll know about where the market is. Good luck with it mate

$50.00 posted in 10 weeks

could do with a spares bike .... that would be mine

..i'd ride yours
the new twin 250 and Lams approval on more bikes has got you in strife as already suggested ...maybe spend Glens first price drop on the fairing set for the ZXR250C (its about $600 on fleabay "TIZZ" it up a bit) if you go down the discount road....flog original fairings separately

reedy- I get raped too much if i trade it in a dealer.
I'm thinking of putting it up on ebay, see how that goes after next week. As for painting it gloss black, wouldnt that just decrease my sale value?

I understand your pain. i purchased my GPX250 for 6500.00 from BikeBiz is 2009. I sold it for a messy 3800.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats cause of this fricken obsession with Ninjas at the moment. My bike was clean, no scratches, in pic perfect condition ... but yeah no one wanted it.. sucks.. she was sexy red thing

!!
anyways good luck dude
If I had the cash i would buy it

I hate to be brutally honest about this but once a newer model comes out - your older model will seem less attractive to potential buyers. Its just the way it goes.
Its just my opninion but painting a bike gloss black gives it a stealth appearance and makes a bike look sweet no matter how old it is.
Black never goes out of style, however factory paint certainly does...
Im just putting up some suggestions to help you sell the bike - but they might not be your cup of tea
