Bikers Gear, Phillip Island, Melbourne

Post by MrFaulty »

Gday, has anyone had aany experience with "Bikers Gear" at Phillip Island in Melbourne? I am looking at buying a pair of Storm boots from them (my Alpine stars are a bit small and I have had enough so reckon a spare set for warm weather when my feet swell is just the ticket).

Thanks
Ben

I've purchased my leathers from them.

Zip on the jacket was around the wrong way to connect to the pants -emailed them and they said take it to a leather good repairer. They were not interested in me sending them back.

Within 12 months I've had all the zips on the jacket replaced - they all broke.

The pants have been fine tho. No problems at all.

It could be that I got a"Friday" jacket but their post-sale service I found to be less than impressive.
I don't like the term insane - I prefer mentally hilarious!

I've only purchased a pair of kevlar jeans from them (as couldn't purchase my size anywhere else without paying a fortune!)

quality seems good - haven't put them down the road to find out how effective they really are though (& don't intend to!).
ordered at 11pm on a Thursday night, had a reply back immediately that they had sold out of blue & would I take black. Took the black, & they were sitting in my post box on Saturday morning.

That's what someone else I know has said too when they were trying to exchange something.

I have a set of their leather pants - I think they are the 'Sport' model w/ kneesliders......well they got tested to the max last week , and came through OK - I received NIL damage to knees etc, but the leathers did pop at the knee joint, along the seam.....and easy repair. I am pretty happy with the protection they offered in a big prang.....
