Subject: Petition

To whom it may concern

I am seeking your support to petition the NSW Government for more Motor
Sport facilities in the state of New South Wales.

The closure this year of Oran Park, has meant that the citizens of this
country as well as overseas visitors have lost the opportunity to
participate or simply enjoy such events as: Car Club lap dash , Super
Sprints, Open Race meetings , Truck Racing , Motor Cycle Racing ,
Drifting , Go Karting , Driver Training , Motor Cross and the Rally
Track facilities.

In past years we have lost Amaroo , Warwick Farm , Liverpool Speedway
and Castlereagh Drag Way ( and remember how long it took to get a new
Drag way) .

It should be noted that, currently, Eastern Creek is booked out for
2010.

We need to let the NSW Government know that with an election in the next
12 months, that we in the motor sport community are voters.

I will be presenting the petition to both the State Government and the
State Opposition, hopefully by the middle of this year,
because if we do nothing, we will become like Queensland, where they do
not have a place to race. See there web site
(http://www.placetorace.com.au/ )

If you could and will help by getting as many signatures ,then please
post them back as soon as possible as I do need the originals

Thank you in advance for your help for the motor sport community
If you need any information please don't hesitate to contact me

Excellent idea......... where do I sign........

ECRD currently has a monopoly and won't share the track with other Track Day Operators, so by next year who knows what they will be charging $$$$$$$

Maybe if they want to take this seriously they (or at least someone) should print out a number of copies of the petition and take them to various places like pie in the sky, as many bike shops (and maybe even autostores, i.e. supercheap / auto-1) that people can get to as well as anywhere else bikers (or motorsport lovers) are known to congregate so that maximum exposure can be given to this. Just remember to get the shop-owners ok to do this if you do intend to canvas the place.

Remember, petitioning on the internet is like using an imperial socket set on a metric bike, it may do the job, but there is a large likely hood you'll just make a bigger mess. It seems that the gumbyment only care about "real people" signing "real paper", which i can understand to some degree.
