I don't think it will get you past the engine cover rule.. Rule states composite material to be carbon or Kevlar I believe..

Ask MA.. You never know.. helmets are made from it..

Bwahahahaha, it's way less than that mate, it's actually closer to a $1.75, the GBP has taken a hammering the last 6-12 months.

Good for us, not so good for the UK guys.

FWIW I don't think you'd classify polycarbonate as a composite, as it's just a type of plastic whereas to me a composite material would indicate two differing materials bonded together...like fibreglass or carbon fibre.

The bigger question is whether they will be able to tell what it is made out of when it is bolted over the engine case?

Considering it is made as race engine cover would lead me to believe it would be suitable however once it is in there i dont think anyone could tell.

   you nob !!!! classic....

Cupcake - polycarbonate is no good for engine covers mate (well, actually it would be fine) - but its not allowed by MA for engine cover covers....otherwise we would all just be screwing pieces of chopping boards onto our engine covers.....
