A REQUEST TO MY BOYZ

I have a request for all my BOYZ who have been so helpful to me since I joined... Since I live in deep, darkest Africa, it is almost impossible for me to find parts for my bike... hence my request or task...

Can any one find me a head gasket and a price. I phoned Kawasaki SA and they don't have any in stock so they now have to order form overseas and probably charge me an arm and possibly a leg to get it here... Freaking hell I need to win the Lotto..... Oops!! sorry drifted off there for a minute...

So if anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.... :D

Ok, sorry bout that...

Its a GPZ400R or the VIN No is ZX400D. Its registered here as a 1989 model but think it might be a 1987.
Hope this helps... There are some pics under the show off your ride section with the heading "THE BEAST"

Thanks so much..

i tried to send you a private message but it would not go. Anyway your bike must be a non U.S.A. model as the local Kawa dealer did not have any listing for your description. If you can find it online somewhere in the U.S. I will try to get it shipped to you. Sorry. Paul.
I just did a search on the net and your model was a japanese and European model only. They claim it was first manufactured in 1989 and is a 4 cylinder so I guess a search in the U.S. is hopeless. Try great Britain or Ireland as it seemed like Ireland had very large riders forum for your model. Good luck.

And therein lies the problem with grey imports... hard to find even basic bits for em.

Ahhhhh the modern world.

A South African lady, asking aussies to send her parts for her japanese made, european delivered bike shipped to SA, and an american does the research, and tells her to contact someone in Ireland.

(if this is all legit :kuda: )

Ps, I hope you can work it all out at not too much expense!
