Kawasaki Sportsbike Riders Club - Australia - Online Forum

I took Tatyana out for her first licenced ride today. We grabbed the dirt bikes out of the toy box this morning and headed out to the back of Riddells Creek. We spent three and a half hours riding up and down a little 4 klm long dead end track. Why team crashed #'s 4-8??? Well, she fell off 5 times!!!!

The first 3 were just little topple overs while coming to a stop or while stopped, so no biggie, as was #5. But #4 was a cracker!!!!

At the end of the track was a little hill where I was taking her bike and running it up the hill and back around to turn the bike around at the dead end. Tatyana decided after seeing me do it that she would try. I explained the technique three times and demonstrated it another three times. Tatyana then went ahead like a bull at a gate without any semblance of the instructions issued just previously! She went down the hill, turned at the bottom, lost the front a little, gave it a fistfull, it slid out at the back, bit hard and high sided her off the other side and into the bushes! She clipped a tree as she did it and spent some time in air travel!! I didn;t laugh till I realised she was OK. But fuck it was funny!! She has a slightly sore knee, but I think her pride was more damaged than her knee!

It hasn't put her off though and she reckons she will go dirtbiking again....once her knee heals!!!

She is a bit beaten up today. The bruises are starting to come out and the injuries are getting a little stiff. Welcome to the world of dirt bike riding.......

I warned her about all of this, but as always with new riders they don't really appreciate what you mean till they experience it!!

I hope her knee hasn't gotten worse overnight, but I'm sure you know how to pamper her and make it all better

Hey Cath, I didn't see this post. Tatyana will be joining us for Friday morning and then Sat PM and all day Sunday. Her new bike won't be ready by then, so she will be on the back of the Rex.

As to joining the forum, that might be dangerous!!! What if she finds out who I really am????????
