Does anyone know what type of socket is required to remove spark plugs in my K1000 GPZ 1987??
Nothing seems to fit down to be able to grab the plug.
Thanks

i cant remember the plug, i suspect it's a 16mm, but you should look for a thin walled socket. I had to do that when i needed to replace the plug on my old bike.

I found the plug sockets really easy to get at on my gpz, but i suppose you dont want to go spending $300 on gaskets every time you change your plugs.

When you buy the plugs, the shop should be able to provide you with a plug spanner to fit, theyre usually fairly cheap looking, but they do the trick.

Best Investment I ever made: from Snap-on
1/4" drive Thin wall 5/8 plug socket 1/4" extension bar 1/2" to 1/4" socket converter

The plug socket has a rubber sleeve inside that squeezes the plug & holds it for removal & insertion ;)
