uh... how long have you been riding? do you have comprehensive insurance or do you plan to claim the damage you cause your bike on warranty? actuallly, never mind, I pay my insurance in a different state.

Words to live by, "it's only a 250".

On the power alone there is going to be little you can do as above.
Clutching it up may work, however it can be less elegant, and there is more chance of making a total meal of it.

It's still a 250 in the end, please make sure you stay away from populated areas if you start making a habit of this, especially if you have as much experience as i think you may have.

First post wannabe, has to be a troll...if it isn't then hmm.

Anyway, any fully-sick 17yo on his L's would be able to get mono advice from his equally fully-sick mate riding his R1 while on his Ls...the one with the 250cc plate.

Like your thinking Chris. At least that way if he farks up no one else can get badly hurt.

They're not really a mono machine, not enough torque.

I am guessing a dab hand with the clutch and a wristful of revs would get it up there, at least for a short while anyway.

I had a GPX250R when I was on Ls, never got it off the ground...not on purpose anyway .

Coming to think of it, the ZZR600 that came after the GPX and the Hornet I have now haven't been that way inclined either...and I know the Hornet is meant to be a mono machine.

I'm guessing it's probably more to do that I'm a pussy with the right wrist .
