Autism

I know it's out of character for me, but if I could just be serious for a minute
I had my suspicions for a long, long time but finally four month's ago my 3 yr old was officially diagnosed with Autism
Although I pretty much knew already, the official diagnoses damn near put me over the edge.
Having gone from frustration and despair to anger we now find ourselves looking for way's to improve his little life and more importantly, his future.
He was a normal little one yr old, started to say daddy and mummy and lot's of other words as any one yr old would.
Then BANG! nothing. He stopped speaking altogether and was totally withdrawn. He would walk around the table with his finger on the edge
while looking in the opposite direction with a distant gaze. Lot's of typical behaviours associated with Autistic kid's.
The last three month's though have been amazing and we are seeing VAST improvement in his communication and attention span.
Why the change? We altered his diet
After very exhaustive research on my part (not the medico's :x ) I discovered that Autism and it's incidence has a direct corrolation to the introduction of VACCINATION!!!!!!!
Vaccines contain a derivative of Mercury and also traces of Formaldehyde
Mercury destroys brain cells and our son changed dramatically immediatly after his one yr old vaccinations :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
To remove Mercury from his system we are feeding him copius amounts of Avacado, seaweed and milk thistle.
The results are nothing short of fantastic, he is talking constantly (mixed feelings there  ) and he now interacts with other kids
and seems interested in things! He sat on my Bike this afternoon, which I have been trying to get him to do for months (tear in eye moment)
and is now nagging to be back in the shed and on the Bike :D
Autism was not known to medical science until the introduction of vaccines in the 1930's and has increased with the volume of vaccinations.
Case studies in the US show that Autism went from 1 in 100,000 pre 1989 to 1 in 166  post 1989 when the vaccination program was
ramped up in that country. (with 1 in 6 having some form of learning disorder)
Anyway I was hoping to share information with anyone else who has had similar experiences to our's.
Thank's for reading (if you got this far) ;)

HI Seiko.... I empathise with you and glad your little one is improving....Although l haven't been through the same with my children, lwill share my story wih you..It's now been 9 years, since my son died of SIDS.Seems like only yesterday.. He was 6 months old... and.I did alot of research in the possible causes of SIDS and discovered a corrallation between infant vaccination and SIDS.My son had just had his vaccinations 48 hours prior to his passing... So yes l believe that vaccinations do have link, but statistically l still believe that the benefits of infant vaccination is strong... Doesn't bring my boy back though.... :(

Hells bells Seiko1 that's got to be a shock to the system! I've got a friend in the US who's 5yo has Autism. He's made some real headway over the last 6 months and from what she's told me it's thru changing his diet. He actually says a few words now.

Keep up the good work mate!

Greg that's really sad. Sympathies mate. Losing a child has to be one of the most difficult times a person could ever go thru.

Shit, sorry to hear that mate
The vaccination topic can get really heated in some quarters but I agree it does help with diseases.
Trouble is, is that when you have such a high incidence (1 in 166) it's just not worth the risk anymore.
The prevention may be worse than the disease
Why can't they just find a way to make vaccines without Mercury? :?

I agree Seiko... But it's all about big bussines. These pharma companies have the government of the day by the balls. Big bucks in the mass production of vaccines.... Gets me annoyed...Justkeep on doing wat ur are with your boy... He will only improve. :D

I really, really, really don't want to get into a discussion on this for that very reason, but don't believe everything you read on the internet. Question the "facts'" that the antivaccination lobby are presenting just as much as you want to question the provaccination ones. When something as traumatic as this happens in our lives it's natural to want to find something to blame, but sometimes things aren't that cut and dried.

Anyway I'm glad to hear you're son is making progress 8)

No, you can not believe everything you read on the internet, but there is too much information available supporting vaccination reactions, including vaccination related autism, to disregard it completely.

My own personal experiences with the life threatening reactions my son had to his first vaccinations lead me to research the pros / cons for vaccinating my child.

I chose not to vaccinate my son with the conventional vaccinations available from your GP and instead went the natural route, using naturopathic vaccinations.

Today, my son is a healthy, happy, intelligent 11 year old and I do not regret for one moment the choice I made.

Seiko – you have to do what is right for you and your child, it sounds like what you are doing is working, good luck and stay positive.

There is an apparent correlation, however a correlation doesn't mean a causation.

Interesting information to look into would be when Thimerosal (the mercury containing preservative) was actually removed from childhood vaccines, whether there been a decrease in autism reported since then and most importantly how autism is diagnosis and reporting has changed over the last few decades.

It's a complicated topic with compelling arguments from both sides of the fence. I wouldn't dream of trying to tell people what they should think or do, I just prefer to see people review all the facts and make an informed decision for themselves rather than jumping on either bandwagon. My wife and I did this myself 9 years ago with our daughter and made the decision to vaccinate and don't regret our choice either.

Wow, interesting topic. I work with the occasional autistic kid but had never heard the theory of vaccinations causing it. Not being a parent I have had no need to look into vaccinations but I am intrigued about the possible connection to autism and SIDS. Since Aspergers is on the same spectrum as autism do they hypothesise it is caused by the same thing. I would like to hear more from Mick too, to get a balance of perspectives but I suspect this thread is not really the place for it.

I'm glad you have managed to get some improvement with your young bloke Seiko and hope the dietary changes continue to see him develop. Thanks for sharing.

EDIT: Mick added more before I hit submit.

My Mrs' Sister is disabled, she cant talk, wears nappies and doesnt know anyone.
It was caused by a reaction to vaccination, i believe whooping cough vaxine. Michelle was jabbed (michelle is oldest) but the youngest was not due to the fears of a reaction.

I'm not sure on the odds etc, but it does make you think.

We panic whenever whooping cough goes around michelles school, as her younger sister could catch it. :?

Its a tough situation, best you can do is get on with it, and make the kids as happy as any other child 8)

Thiomersal actually does appear in childhood vaccines particularly Engerix- B (Paediatric) which is given to newborns.
Australian Medical Journal wrote:Thiomersal (sodium ethylmercuric thiosalicylate) is an organic compound containing ethylmercury that has been widely used as a vaccine preservative since the 1930s. Concerns have focused on its potential toxicity as a heavy metal, and its role in the claimed link between measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination and autism.
A recent study assessed whether multiple vaccinations can lead to mercury accumulation. In full-term infants exposed to vaccines containing thiomersal, mercury concentrations detected in blood (range, 2.8520.55 nmol/L) were well below the level thought to be associated with adverse effects. Additionally, ethylmercury appears to be eliminated via the gastrointestinal tract soon after exposure (estimated half-life, 7 days). Because the developing fetus and low birthweight babies are more vulnerable to toxic effects of mercury, it has been suggested that exposure to vaccines containing thiomersal at time of birth may pose some risk in very low birthweight premature infants. To minimise any potential risk, all vaccinations in the Australian Standard Vaccination Schedule for children younger than 5 years are now thiomersal-free or contain only trace amounts.

Yes, trace amounts (<2 micrograms/ml compared to 50 micrograms/ml) and there are other alternatives that don't contain thiomersal and are recommended for use in infants

What made you think Thiomersal had been removed MickC?
You didn't actually believe that because there was evidence against it that these big drug companies
would actually give a fuck did you?
Only 30% of Doctors and Nurses get vaccinated! What does that tell you.
MDF or medium density fibreboard is available here and is a known carcinogenic! banned in all other
develoved countries....money, money, money.
They are still using DDT in some countries  FFS! The poor ones of course :x
and that shit just keeps on filtering through the foodchain until it is in a high enough concentration to kill you
I have spent months looking into this crap and I tell you what...there is no fucken doubt in my mind that these vaccines and other products containing preservatives ARE the direct cause of all our childrens health and mental problems including a lot of allergies.
Not all kid's are affected by these reactions but the percentage is way to fucken high now to be shrugged off by the PffffffT fucken Generation.
Looks like they will get away with it again and they knew they would because they've spent millions making sure no-one gives a fuck anymore
