A bush and scrub fire is burning in the area of Windsor Downs.
Current Situation
A bush and scrub fire is burning in the area of Windsor Downs in the Windsor Downs Nature Reserve.
Firefighters are working in the area. The Air Crane has been deployed to assist ground crews.
Advice
People in the areas around Sanctuary Drive, Nutwood Lane, Willeroo Drive and nearby streets should remain alert to embers.
Firefighters are working in the area to protect homes. Follow the advice of firefighters.
Properly prepared homes that are actively defended can provide safety during the fire.
Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan now. If you are physically and mentally prepared to defend your home, get ready to take shelter as the fire impacts.

Elvis isn't here, can't remember which choppers are, from memory those things cost about $25k an hour when they're on the ground and a lot more while they're flying!

the air-crane is called "isabella",,,,,,we saw it take off from the back of the workshop,,,,,they park it right outside our back doors,,,,$25,000 per/day for just sitting there,,,,,,$20,000 an hour when in use
