I have a fully sick system in my bean wagon. I spent hours putting my wiring in properly....
Seems there was a much easier way

Ill try it that way next time!!!

Its the semi transparent insulation that's coloured & turns out that its just heavy duty speaker wire def not suitable for this application

Just ignoring totally the "why not run it inside an existing cable run or possibly make it in as splashproof an area as possible, lets look at this. Obviously he doesn't give a shit about "letting water into the firewall" and ignoring THAT too, what about the whole sharp metal edge & vibration vs high current wire. I am shocked that the lazy prick hasn't grommetted (sp?) the wiring.
Also, what if the wheel picks up a rock or a branch and flicks it into the wiring too? ZZZZZZZZZap

Not quite a factory quality job, but have seen some shockers on both brand new cars, prof. installs and do it yaself specials.
As long as her used the right size terminals on both ends there I don't really see what you perfectionists are carrying on about

fark me that is dodgey to the max... i have a full sound system in my rex and i went to the trouble of takein the power from the battery thru to the sub with 2 8 guage wires,, i looped it thru the firewall properly and siliconed up the holes and fed it thru unda the carpet so it was neat and tidy.. that was half a day job...
a young kid ( 17 and just got his licenance) i use to have workin for me put his (fuly sik stezor ulah) in to his shit box pulsar.. didnt fuse the power wire or sucure the sub in the car properly first coner he took the sub moved ripped the power wire out of the amp and set the car alight in the matter of seconds..lol
