G'day all ......... I've volunteered myself to organise this, so ....

Do you want a "Motorcycle Specific " course - or - a "Senior First Aid " course ?
Post your forum name, suburb, and either "M" or "S" , so I can organise the course most wanted. ( If it ends up 50/50 I'll organise both IF we get numbers ).
As it is coming up to the festive season, the available dates and members priorities may mean we do this in 2010 .... we'll see how it goes. :D

Cheers, Ron.

Btw - if you haven't done a first-aid course before, they are usually good fun, especially with a group that know each other. The "gore" factor is not over emphasised. ;)

St. Johns offer the " Senior First Aid " course..

Or the " Motorcycle First Aid " course...

http://www.stjohnnsw.com.au/tc_mfa.html

Red Cross offer the " Basic First Aid " course....

http://www.redcross.org.au/ourservices_ ... htm#level1

Or the " Senior First Aid " course...

http://www.redcross.org.au/ourservices_ ... htm#level2

There a number of other companies providing similar courses, however Red Cross and St. Johns have a proven track record imo.

Those interested please add a suburb - this will help to centralise the course location. Ta.

Don't know about the Red Cross, but I can vouch for the Serior First Aid course through St Johns.
It was excellent. Covered everything from MVA's to snake bites

Many firms will either reimburse the cost of the course or pay a weekly allowance while the certificate is current ( check your award conditions ). This only applies to a recognised course.

I have to renew mine too but I need to do it quick (so I can renew my level two sports trainer cert before the rep footy teams start training) so I will be doing it sooner rather than later. The other issue is travelling to Shitney to do it so it will most likely be getting done in Wollongong. There are a few St John's courses coming up in the next couple of weeks down here (7/11 is the next weekend one I think) if any of you lot feel like leaving the big smoke behind and traveling to the fresh steelworks infused air of the coast.
