Welcome Owen, but the first thing I've got to say is cover that skin up. Riding a bike it's not a matter of if you'll come off but when and road rash is a lot more inconvenient than wearing the right gear.

Hi Owen, welcome to KSRC, heres a hint..... use knee guards under the Dragins..... Dragins dont offer much protection as is ;)
a couple of our members can support the need from first hand experience ;)

Too true Rob, here's Glens quote about my slippery-slide fun:
Glen wrote:......
There is no substitute for good protective gear. If Tim didn't have hard armour under his Draggins he probably would've been sitting in an emergency room with his kneecap hanging in the breeze.
........
My slide at 60km/h went straight through the kevlar on both knees and wore a big graze into my left knee armour, small graze on the right, down to kevlar on my butt.

I cringe to think of it, but I'd say a good chunk would have been worn out of my kneecap bone, possibly dislodged, and lost plenty of skin had it not been for the $30 knee pads.
