Ok I have been trying to put of posting here as most of my shit is endless dribble anyway's

......
Why did I get the Z?....The 6 was an extremly fun bike lot's of power but I was a bit cramped on it, suffered from sore wrist's and the back would be stuffed after @ 200k's....I was planning on doing some suspension work and such on it and some other bit's for comfort but when I spoke to a suspension guy and talked about what I could get out of the bike and what I wanted, got me thinking maybe this isn't the bike for me.....When I was in the market for a bike before I was tossing up between the Z and a ZRX but the thought of that much grunt I didn't think I could handle. People who have seen me ride know I am a slow cruisy kind of rider and not a speed freak!!!....Plus I don't think I could have ridden a full on sport's bike for what it was made for so (making me a poser

).....
So I went @ to a few bike shop's to see what was on offer and the Z's were a bit scarce on the floor at places with some with only one left (mostly the orange)...Some places were very accomodating and willing to negotiate. And some I felt like I was begging them to sell me a bike.....But one a sponsor from here an still waiting for a call back on a price it's been over a week now

......
So with my best price I had in hand I headed over to Aitken's to see what they could do for me.Told Jamie of my predicament and was very understanding...But no Z in stock

....BUT the will get me one

....They traded the 6 for slightly less than I paid (and more than they buy them for I reckon) and a small changover....Got a cowl to sweeten the deal and the decision was set in stone.....Morale of the story find a good local dealer and if you look after them they will look after you
First Impression's of the Z.....Riding position is perfect for me more upright ,rearsets not set too far back The power wasn't as huge a jump as I was thinking coming of the 6 just a lot more torque down low feel's a bit odd cruising around at 4,000rpm's rather than 8-10,000....Front brake's have a lot more feel its not just on and off like the six...Don't know if that's because of the extra weight or not but they are the same callipers I think....
This was a comfort and torque decision for me for longer trip's....

Yeah but are you gunna ride it?
Mate, thats a great choice you have made & I am sure you will get heaps of enjoyment from the zeddy. When I get a bit older I will go back to one as they are such a great bike, but not for now.... I am having too much fun on the six
Well done Dave ya sly dog
