Thought I would start a thread where we can brag about when we met someone famous, our little brush with fame..... Tell us........ OK I'll start..........

It was xmas 1980, and I was on holiday in QLD at what is now called schoolies week on the Gold Coast. At the time, I was one of the first guests at the Greenmount Resort at Coolangatta, as it had just opened. Around the same time there was a pommy comedian named Dick Emery touring Australia and also doing commercials for Fisher & Pakel fridges. I was waiting for the lift at the resort and when the doors opened, there was Dick Emery travelling in the lift. He was very polite and said hello etc, and was looking to commence a conversation, I was dumbfounded and didn't know what to say, so I said "have you sold many fridges"

Who's next.....................

Well I've got a list but most of them I don't really care for so I don't remember names.
Can't compete with smittys list tho...

All of the idol winners
delta goodrem
Molly meldrum
few of the wallabies ( don't follow the sport so I didn't bother remembering, but one of them was George gregan)
mr t
Hugh jackman (on our wedding day while going into the hotel)
Jennifer lopez
Dave#3 (he was on tv)
and more than likely any future idol winner unfortunately

At the Bathurst 12-hour endurance back in 2000, where bikes were racing for the first time in 12 years on Fri/Sat, also hooked up with Septic, Captain Midnight and Zonk for a few billies - these guys were all characters in 'Stone'.

As a 15 year old in the mid nineties I was lucky enough as a budding young cricketer got to face big 6ft8 Joel Garner former West Indian fast bowler in the nets for 30 minutes. Despite being retired he'd managed to bounce and break the previous guys brand new helmet in two! Was an experience I'll never forget :)
