Just wondering, I just bought myself a 1999 ZX6 and plan on turning it into a track bike.

In regards to all the wiring looms and dash etc, what is the general concensus when removing indicators, headlights etc...do you remove the entire loom or just the light in case....

Looking for any help now that I will be pulling this one apart and preparing it for a track day.

Many thanks in advance.

considering you bought a mini barge you are obviously not worried about weight or power so wiring looms shouldnt concern you to much.

Leave the headlights and blinkers on and indicate into corners :D

dont mind Russ..

mate i would just tie, tape and tuck everything up neatly..some of those wires are required to run the bike. the best way to avoid electrical gremlins is leave everything intact. as for lights etc I would just un plug and remove if you have race glass fairings, however if you using stock fairings leave as is as you will end up with massive holes in the front of your fairing, just tape up your lights to avoid shattering them all over the track if you hit a seagull etc.

The weight diff is negligible, you wont notice it.
