It was a std Kerker meg when i bought it. But it was unbelievably restrictive noise & powerwise, so I machined up a new end cap from billet aluminium & made my own baffle from 2 1/4" perf s/s tube.

I actually posted the mod on ZRXOA @ somepoint.

Been running like that for about 3 yrs & 30,000 klm's now no problems

Hey bonester,
Mine has been running 10.7 to 10.8 since I fitted the Kerker. But I was having very bad front end wobbles approaching the finish line @ this meet, so was only running 10.9 to 11.0's. Turned out the new front tyre had been fitted with the weights 180' out  . Not nice to find this balls out @ 230 kph I can tell you.

Ronnie on the green 06' model was running 11.2 & may have pulled an 11.1, his bike is bone stock minus mirrors. In saying that Ron is very experienced (Has a aussie land speed record in his class on his ZX12R @ Lake Gardiner about 2 or 3 yrs back) & weighs about 75kg which is 40 kg less than me.

The red 1200 from Townsville was I think also pulling 11.2's & may have gone into the 11.1's. I spoke to the owner (can't remember a name?) & the bike is stock engine wise, running -1 on the front sprocket. I know he pulled a PB on the day.

Back when mine was stock it also pulled 11.2's with me then weighing in around 98kg + riding gear. I now have 80'000k's on the clock, head has never been off the motor. Still run's hard :kuda: .

Hey Phil,
Are you talking times or life/milage in the motor?
I did notice a few pock marks on the clutch near the tensioner when I roughed em' up the night before raceday  .
If I don't sort that engine & my life may be somewhat shortened :) .

Mileage :D , I would no idea if the times are hot - or snot ;)

I just love seeing the ZRX being ridden as the manufacturer intended - well done :kuda: I think those marks are something they all get, mine has 53K on it now. The 9 has 130 and has gained HP 3 since 106

Well that was one of the reasons I decided not to run my third race. With the bike chuckin a mental @ that speed.............. it could be very messy.

On the other hand, I don't think a set of leather pants would make a lot of diffrence in a highside @ that speed, well not to the rider anyhow.

If you dial in under 10.5's it is compulsory to wear full leathers.............

At least there is a chance the leathers will have armor...jeans just don't cut it
