hi all very new o this site but i will be in the market very soon for a new bike i have my eye on eather the zx10r or the zx14 wot is the down sides to both bikes.
i will be buying one as other bikes dont appeal to me a great deal the one thing is i will want to drag race it for fun at steet meets any info on these bikes will help lots



the main thing i should have asked is wots the upsides to both bikes also

stret meets =drag strip only for fun tho

both go ridiculous speeds.
with some basic mods will get 170+ outta zx10 and 190+ outta zx14
depends if you want a smaller and agile or bigger and smoother.
its all fun just dont be a temporary aussie.

On a propper 1/4 mile expect both bike to be running around 10 flat in stock form. ZX14 is longer so will require less structural mods for a decent launch, but is heavier so may require a bit of stripping down.

As street bikes, the 10 is more nimble and perhaps a little less confortable (but I've never ridden a 14).

I wouldn't recommend on road drags as they are stupid and dangerous. Bike riders have a bad enough name is society, without tagging on to the WRX hoons racing city streets.

yes 100% of street drags i think ill do the test ride day at the local thx 4 your help

The 14 is the go for drags

totally agree on this un-bias subject. mines a daily ride and the only time the 10 disappears is really tight stuff.

i'm tall so get cramped up on 10( wrist then hurt ) i like the lower windscreen on the 14, they say theres a bike
that suits you, i found mine, hope they keep building them so when i need to upgrade. 190bhp 115 nm at rear

Go the 14, much better to launch at the strip and on the street it only loses to the 1k's in the tight stuff.
