Understand it's hard to assess this way.....owner willing to move to $7500. Anyone know this bike?

Maybe it's just me, but that seems like a bucket load of money for such an old bike.

I'm with Jase, I reckon it's way too expensive. You'd almost get an 04/05 10 for that

Mate, that's some big money for a ZX7!! A few years back, I paid I think 6k maybe less, for my 2000 model 9, which was in bloody good nick. I bought one for another mate 12 months later for similiar money. I reckon a late model 9 is worth no more than 7k, no matter what condition it is in! I'd keep looking. FWIW, A ZX7 should go for around 4500-6000. 4500 for an earlier one, 6000 for a late model immaculate low klms unmarked, polish with love, never ridden in the rain, oil changed every day, bathed in Maguirs bike!!!

Insurance value for an 2002 is $7500, I have seen alot of zx7r around that price, but then again seen alot cheaper. keep hunting dude. Spoke to kawasaki about the price and availabilty of these 7 's and he said its coz they are more popular then the 9 hence high prices. {Quote from kawasaki} the zx9r even though was a great bike, it lacked in areas where the opposition beat it hands down {have no farken idea} but the 7 was a screamer and everyone wanted one.

me i would go for either one, I was looking at both b4 i bought my 02 model 7 but give me half a chance a nice 02 zx9r would be great aswell.
