OK, in that case, I'll take off the rego and deregister the bike from queensland transport after I confirm the transfer is done on paypal.
Once i confirm the transfer from paypal, you can take the bike from the address i gave u using your shipping agent.
I'm moving interstate in 3 weeks time, so you may have to arrange the pick up before end of the month.

thank you very much.

I was just about to make the payment when i had this little problem
with the picking up,I got an email from my agent..i taught i included
that in my previous email.he said he won't come and pick up the item
unless i pay him the agent commission fee first in order to be able to
schedule a pick up time ,and my pick up agent head quarters is in the
United Kingdom and all commission payments made for pick up, from
anywhere in the world is sent to their head quarters in the Uk and the
only form of payments they accept is western union money transfer and
i tried to pay online but i will need a credit card which i didn't
bring along, and there is no post office(there is usually a western
union section in most post offices) or any western union agent
offshore! so i have to ask you to help me with the pick up fees, i
will include the $650 they charged to pick it up and take it my
home(1st class treatment), to the payments i will send through paypal,
after i have made the payments, i will need you to help me send the
$650 to my pick up agent through western union money transfer, the
western union money transfer can be made at a post office near to
you,there is always a western union agent in most post offices or
online at http://www.westernunion.com .I will be making the payments shortly
and will email you as soon as it has been done..

I just want to inform you that i have just completed the payment and i
hope you must have been notified in your email about the payment i
made through PayPal, you can check your e-mail for confirmation of
payment, I have just make the payment of $6,750.,i have decided to add
the amount of $750 which i paid through paypal, So please i will like
you to help me wire the sum of $650 to my agent via western union so
he can be able to come for the pick up and also paypal said they won't
release the funds until they get the western union information from
you due to the fact that i emailed them about the excess payment i
made.i will need you to send the $650 to my pick up agent Headquarters
where they normally confirm any commission payment to via western
union money transfer(this can be done from the post office,or online
at http://www.westernunion.com) as they usually have a western union agent
there) , i added extra $100 to cover the western union charges which
shouldn't be more that $60-75 but just to be sure i added $100, Here
is my pick up agent Headquarter info needed to get the money sent
Mark Gardens,
43 ,vine ave,
London,
N194LA.
United Kingdom.

Please kindly email the necessary details to paypal :the mtcn which
you will be given at the western union after the $650 has been sent as
well as the sender's name and address used to send the money through
western union as well as the secret question and answer used in
sending the $650 so i can forward it to paypal or better still you can
email it to paypal directly.

Look mate, I'm not saying this is not a genuine offer, but I think there's some tricks here.

First, I never met you and you are offsore and buying the bike for your cousin in WA;

Second, you have provide minimum information about yourself, only an email is the only way to find you;

Thrid, even you send the payment to my paypal account, paypal has inform me that the amount of 6750 would not be credited to my account until i paid 750 via WU to an UK account. So basically i have to get 750 out of my own pocket without having the 6750 physicall sitting in my BANK (not paypal) account. What if I make the 750 and you withdraw the payment from your end.

Fourth, if your cousin is in WA, I can arrange bike logistic for you locally in Brisbane, Australia to an address you dedicated in WA, or I can provide you contact to do so, I just dont why you need an shipping agent and it's offsore, commission fee? is not a sales to them, it's a transport fee, and should always pay to an local agent.

Here's what I want you to do:
Provide your detail to me including your consin's detail;
the address in WA and a contact number I could make a call to on Monday;
if you really want to use this shipping agent, get them to contact me on Monday;
if your account is in Australia, I will prefer Direct Bank Deposit which I can provide you my bank account detail, paypal is not totally trusted to me even I use it all the time.

there's no way I will pay 750 offsore, before I even receive any money in my bank account, I know there's a lot of trust in this, but all my details are with Bikepoint.com.au, so if you think you couldn't find me after you really transfer the 6000, you can contact the police, sure they can find me; but vice versa, I dont even sure how I find you.

Regards
xxx

Thanks for the heads up on this scam.........

My kids think i'm a dinosaur cause I won't use Paypal, Ebay, online purchases, direct credit etc etc.......... I find stuff in a shop or online. I go and look, and if I like it, I hand over the money and take it with me right there and then. I'm a happy dinosaur...........

I got a similar email when I had my 250 on bikesales. Funny thing was, they offered me more than the bike was worth. I didn't reply to them, and lucky I had read similar scams here and there. The thing is though, I bet they do get some gullible people here and there. I bet it is the nigerian scam. They were one's caught doing this sort of stuff a while ago.

Really though, you hand over your 750 and then i will give you 6000. Sure... lol

Cheers

Lisa

I too have heard of this scam but it's important to spread the word regularly for those who haven't.
Paypal/eBay actually say to avoid Western Credit Union because 1) they are a competitor and 2) they do not have as many safety features.

Indeed there are gullible people around, plenty of whom have fallen for said Nigerian scam, not sure how many of those would have feel for it the second time via the Ivory Coast or the third time via South Africa etc though :)
